MANUAL DRAWING CONVERSIONS

With an A0 SIZE SCANNER, ISDN internet connection, FTP SITE, and very fast computers this division undertakes Conversions of Manual Drawings into various CAD formats.

FEDsoft undertakes several large Drawing Conversion projects where the drawings can be of different types like :

We can provide the output in various CAD/GIS software formats .

PROCESSES USED:

1. SCANNING OF DRAWINGS : The drawings are scanned at either FEDsoft or our partners sites worldwide .If the scanning is done by our partners , then the raster files are transferred via the internet using FTP sites .

2. RASTER TO VECTOR CONVERSION OF FILES : Taking these raster files as reference ,we convert the files using different softwares as required .

3. QA-QC : After the drawings are converted , they are checked by the QA-QC team manually using check-plots and various softwares .

4. Files via ftp : The final output files are transferred via ftp to our partners worldwide .

HIGH QUALITY CHECKING PROCESSES
Fedsoft has a separate QA-QC Division which does the final finishing of the maps/drawings. With the help of various QA-QC softwares and other manual procedures, this division specializes in providing outputs for all our clients worldwide. At the start of each project a benchmark is performed by the QA-QC division in order to create a "Rule-File" which has all the technical specifications of the project. Once the rule-file is approved by the client, the project is forwarded to the production division. We at Fedsoft with the help of our partners worldwide constantly work on improving the quality of the output and work out ways to reduce the production time without compromising on the quality .

We use various softwares like the AXIOM range of QA-QC softwares which help us do most of the QA-QC automatically .The maps are also then checked by a team of highly qualified professionals who are trained according to the specifications of the clients .

We have MINIMUM 3 QA-QC checks

1. Manual check by Qualified Professional: A plot of the cad file is taken out a plot of the original raster file is used for reference .Once the mistakes are marked the editing of the drawing is done by the QA-QC division .

2. Automatic check by using softwares : We use many Automatic softwares like the range of softwares from AXIOM INT. to do our QA-QC .These softwares help us reduce our time in QA-QC and also assure very good results .

3. Final Editing : The final editing is done by team leaders who check the drawings on the computer .
